Using a solar powered Pervasive Field Network to enhance safety and product quality

Ergon Refining has a remote location where product samples are stored and prepared for shipment. Instruments were needed to monitor several parameters for alarming and history collection. By implementing wireless data collection, the cost of infrastructure to bring this data to the DCS was held to a minimum. A solar powered Pervasive Field Network was used to extend the mesh wireless backhaul, eliminating the need for power supplied to the remote locations. Project cost savings were impressive as well as the time saved. Rapid project execution resulted in an immediate return on investment.
