TVA uses Wireless Technology as the Backbone for their Performance Monitoring

Founded in 1933, The Tennessee Valley Authority was created to bring Electric Generation and Flood control to the Tennessee Valley. TVA is continuously trying to Increase Performance and improve Conditioning monitoring systems in its Combine Cycle plants. Traditionally Power companies rely on route base performance testing., TVA wanted to create physical models that continuously Monitored Heat Rate, Steam flows and that would increase overall operating efficiencies. TVA selected Wireless technology as the measurement backbone to create the physical models. This Digital Modernization has created opportunities to increase performance, improve Reliability, recognize abnormalities and decrease downtime. Real time data now can be integrated into their EtaPro Analytical Software system.
