The FlowScanner QL AOV toolkit provides specialized diagnostic tools for air-operated valves. We will utilize the FlowScanner QL with the AOV Toolkit to conduct a diagnostic assessment on an air-operated valve (AOV). By offering three types of bracket mounting options, the installation of travel sensors on different types of actuators and valves becomes effortless. To ensure precise analysis of plug and seat contact, we employ high-accuracy travel sensors. The travel sensor connectors feature polarization keys for secure and safe connections, improving reliability and safety during diagnostics. Pressure measurements are acquired using quick connections that are directly attached to tire valves integrated into each qualified positioner. For connecting to the IP converter, you have the flexibility to use either alligator clips or wire grips. The cable terminates with two female banana plugs, providing a versatile connection option that allows for various configurations and setups. Now that all the necessary connections have been made on the valve side, let's proceed to the FlowScanner QL side. Utilizing color codes for travel and I/P connections ensures swift identification and helps prevent any incorrect connections. The FlowScanner QL offers the flexibility of undefined channels, allowing you to utilize any available channel and define its purpose within the software. TEDS (Transducer Electronic Datasheets) chips are integrated within the acquisition box and each sensor is used with a FlowScanner QL. These TEDS chips contain essential information about the sensor, such as calibration data and specifications. The software is designed to read the TEDS information from sensors. By analyzing this data, the software can determine whether the tools being used are calibrated or not. This calibration status is indicated through a simple green or red label, providing a quick and visual indication. The high acquisition rate of the FlowScanner QL enables shorter testing durations and rapid data collection. Real-time monitoring during the acquisition process allows for immediate detection of anomalies or issues. If any problems are identified, the acquisition can be stopped, and the software will display the test trace prior to stopping. This feature enables a comprehensive analysis of the acquired data, ensuring thorough examination and resolution of potential issues or abnormalities. Within the analysis window, the FlowScanner QL displays values in green when the valve meets specifications. Conversely, values that deviate from the criteria will be displayed in red, indicating a potential issue or anomaly. The FlowScanner QL is a versatile diagnostic system suitable for both air-operated valves (AOV) and motor-operated valves (MOV) diagnostics. Its user-friendly design ensures ease of use, allowing for a straightforward and efficient diagnostic process. The FlowScanner QL utilizes accurate & plug-and-play sensors, simplifying the setup process and eliminating the need for complex installations. Implementing ALARA-compliant Equipment Design prioritizes the well-being and safety of your employees. Overall, the FlowScanner QL offers a powerful combination of features that enable efficient and accurate AOV and MOV diagnostics, leading to improved valve performance and reduced outage durations.
