What are I/P Transducers?
Learn about the importance of electro-pneumatic I/P transducers. Key points: –The I/P transducer is a current to pressure conversion device. – I/P transducers are routinely used in control loops that require an electronic control signal from a PLC or DCS to be converted to a usable pneumatic signal for operation of a control valve. – I/P transducer operate by applying current to an electromagnet and moving a flapper in relationship to the nozzle.
